The most awaited Google Pixel 8 series from Google is here. There was a lot of digital buzz, expectations and enthusiasm around the company’s next big thing. The base model, the Google Pixel 8, is priced at $699. The Google phone Pixel 8 handset is offered in three shades, including Hazel, Rose and Obsidian. While the Google Pixel 8 Pro version features colors like Bay, Obsidian and Porcelain proposed at $999. Both smartphones are Google 5G phones with IP68 dust and water protection certification.
Google is famous for introducing software tools that have become the talk of the town. And this year’s software update is no different because it is packed with features. The camera department of the Google mobile phone Pixel 8 consists of a 50MP Octa-PD primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens with autofocus and a 10.5MP selfie snapper. It is a basic mobile version of the series, tied with 8GB of RAM.
Move on to the Google Pixel 8 Pro, which is also powered by Tensor G3 SoC, which is running on Android 14 as well. The Pixel 8 Pro is combined with 12GB of RAM to justify its Pro tag. The homemade Tensor G3 5G chip is built on a 4nm power-efficient manufacturing process. On the camera front, the selfie shooter is the same as in the Pixel 8, which means it is 10.5MP. So, the main focus is the rare side camera system, which features three cameras in total. The extra camera in Pixel 8 Pro is a 48MP zoom lens, which can zoom optically up to 5x. The other two are the OIS-enabled 50MP primary sensor with autofocus and 48MP ultra-wide snapper. The new Google mobile Pixel 8 Pro screen is also bigger, offering a 6.7-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED panel with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It can jump between 1 to 120Hz refresh rates thanks to the adaptive display. Using the device under direct sunlight is not a problem because 2400 nits its peak brightness. Under the back panel, a 5000 mAh battery fuels the device. It comes with 30W wired and 23W wireless charging.
