Oppo is again ready to jump into the mid-range category with its new mobile named A98 5g. It’s not a new series as we have seen mobiles in this category the previous summer. Oppo is growing as every day passes. That’s why we are witnessing lots of options from the company. So, Oppo’s new phone A98 5g is a new addition to Oppo’s mid-range mobiles line-up as it got certification from NBTC in Thailand. The model designation of this mobile is CPH2529. And this certification only confirmed that the mobile would have 5g connectivity. But worry not; we already have lots of speculation about this mobile’s specs, which we will discuss.
First, if we talk about the mobile display, it will pack a large screen of 6.7 inches which is a curved AMOLED type. It will come with a 120Hz refresh rate. So the scrolling experience will be buttery smooth as the display is AMOLED, so it’s safe to say that the fingerprint scanner will be under the screen, which is a pretty reliable option.
According to the previous leak, the Oppo new phone will have a snapdragon 778g chipset, one of the best’s processors in the mid-range. So the mobile will be powered by a 2.2GHZ octa-core processor. It will run ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 13 out of the box. Based on the initial leaks, we can guess the mobile will have up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage configuration options. And under the hood, it will have a 4690mAh battery backup supported by 67W fast charging. Fast charging of 67W is very rear in this category, so it is a treat for the Oppo A98 5g users.
The other main highlight of the A98 5g is its camera setup, which will contain a primary camera of 108MP which will provide crispy and sharp pictures with better color dynamics. 108MP is especially helpful when you want to focus on one object in the picture and zoom in. The selfie camera of the new oppo mobile will be a 16MP sensor.
