Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro launched; features Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Leica Camera

Xiaomi is back with its flagship 14 series. The company unveiled its high-end Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro in China for now. Soon, this lineup will make entries at the global level.

The Xiaomi 14 series, which comprises Mi 14 and 14 Pro. Xiaomi is famous for introducing the latest flagship devices every year; this time, there is no exception. These two devices of Xiaomi pack some serious punch with their modified camera set-up, new Qualcomm chip, and better display.

The biggest surprise this year is Xiaomi’s latest software. The Chinese Giant ditched the old MIUI and opted for HyperOS, which runs Xiaomi 5G mobile 14 and 14 Pro. This new software is much cleaner and opens a new world of features. Both models are Xiaomi 5G phone connectivity and 4G VoLTE. Some other everyday things include an under-display fingerprint scanner and Android 13.

Xiaomi 14 is the base model of the new series, which offers serious performance. The users can choose between Nano leather and Glass back. The one with a Leather cover is slightly light, weighing around 188 grams, while the Variant with a Glass finish weighs about 193 grams. Other dimensions measure 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.22 mm.

Xiaomi mobile 14 dumps a 1-inch sensor; instead, it carries a “Light Hunter” 50 MP primary shooter with a fixed aperture. For zooming optically, the Xiaomi phone 14 flaunts a 50 MP Telephoto lens, which is also OIS-enabled like the primary one. The 13 MP ultra-wide snapper features EIS but lacks autofocus. This camera also houses Leica branding, which has been part of the previous generation.

For power, it is shipped with Qualcomm’s latest generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which can do almost everything without sweat. It is paired with 12/16GB of RAM and 256/512GB of Storage. The 4610 mAh big battery is coupled with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. The four colors offered are Pink, White, Green, and Black.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro seems to be a banger as it houses exciting things. The flat metal edges with a slightly glittery touch are an upgrade. There is also a unique model with matt titanium alloy built. Other colors Xiaomi’s new phone 14 Pro features are White, Rock Green, and Black.

The new Xiaomi mobile 14 Pro is available in three memory configurations, which are 12/256GB, 16/512GB, and 16/1024GB. The “Light Hunter 900” main cam comes with a custom Leica Summilux lens and is a 50 MP with varying aperture (f/1.42 to f/4.0). The sensor is smaller than the previous year, but worry not; it can collect 80% more brightness, so pictures are more vivid and detailed.

The Telephoto boasts floating autofocus, which can capture 50 MP portrait photos. The third companion of these two excellent shooters is a 50 MP sensor. The new Xiaomi phone 14 Pro also features a 50 MP selfie shooter for crispy and bright pictures.

14 Pro Display & Battery

It sports a high-end 6.73 inches 2K 12-bit LTPO C8 OLED panel. It reaches 3000 nits peak brightness. The processor carries a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Adreno GPU.

The battery under the hood is more prominent in the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The 4880 mAh battery is refilled by 120W fast charger and 50W wireless charging. The smartphone Xiaomi 14 has impressive features in every aspect.
